A Canshare Tale

Once upon a time, there was a girl born in 1970.  She didn’t arrive healthy and strong.  She almost died, actually.  She doesn’t remember this, but has heard the tale from her parents.  She grew up always wondering what she was supposed to do “for the world” because she was gifted with still being alive.  She, also, has always been a little “sensitive” to “suffering” in the world and wants to alleviate it whenever she can.  And, well, has always enjoyed complimenting people, smiling, and making others laugh.  Ya know, the whole, “smile and the world smiles with you” thing? (Side note:  Permanently grumpy trolls in life are never won over, no matter how hard this girl tries!!)

Well, she grew older, but never really “grew up”.  Married her prince charming and had two children.  She found out she had breast cancer in the fall of 2009.  She rode the “party train” through her cancer treatments and shared the laughs along the way.  There were definitely tears along the way too, but she likes to think that as they fall and wet the earth that somewhere pretty little flowers are blooming in their wake.

Remembering that life is a gift, too short, and it should be enjoyed to the fullest, the whole “what should I do for the world?” thing popped up like a little light bulb above her head during this journey down the “yellow brick road”.  Ah, ha!!  Share the laughs with “the cancer world” and ask for their tall tales of a barrel full of laughs too!!

So, all Grimm brother jokes aside, this princess, I mean Queen of Quips, wants this fairy tale to truly have a “happy ending”.  She wants this website to become a household name, not for her own fame and fortune, but for the “uniting of the kingdom” of canswear subjects around the world.  Because sharing is powerful, it gives your story a voice, and when your voice is heard you become stronger in life.  There is strength in numbers and those numbers deserve to be counted by the court jester, who NEVER stops laughing!!

Queen of Quips is taking a quick aside with her “court” to say, “Thank you everyone who has made her journey through this life great, family, friends, and even random strangers along the way.”  You all know who you are and what you have done, in a good way, and I thank you from the bottom of my big ole sensitive heart.

The queen is getting on the back of that horse with one handsome cowboy and riding off into the sunset now, oh wait, that’s a western, this is a fairy tale, and the tale is just beginning………the ending is still waiting to be written!!
