Different thoughts about life, laughter, whatever you want to roll around in your head.
The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache. (Marjorie Pay Kinckley quote submitted by Deborah/Jan 2011)
So, this is the first quote that hit me, today, at the movies. Yes, it was the “Green Lantern”, laugh away! Anyway, seriously, it was when he was being indoctrinated and he was told, “Fear prevents will (meaning willpower) and will promotes action (to get things done).” I thought, so true, we can get stuck in “fear” during it all and not know which action to take for ourselves. Thanks, “Green Lantern”. (Canshare/June 2011)
Idea: Have an “attitude of gratitude” (as much as you feel up to it that day) for the people who are your caregivers, nurses, technicians, doctors, other patients sharing a laugh or a smile, the front desk clerk, the janitor, you know, all the people you cross paths with along the way. Remember, it’s the cancer we don’t like, not the people there to lend a helping hand. (Canshare/June 2011)
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. (Washington Irving quote/submitted by Sherri/July 2011)
Note: I think as much as we “fight” cancer, it is also something we need to “heal” from. The fight is a battle within ourselves, who will win is the question? Part of winning is remembering that hanging on to anger and bitterness is as much a downfall here as losing hope. Trying to think of what feels mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally healing to you during this time and taking action towards that route is beneficial for each of us facing this disease. Best wishes, my friends, in seeking and finding these things for yourselves. Truly. (Canshare/July 2011)

Remember to laugh “out loud” so everyone can hear you; it’s the best remedy for anything, even stupid cancer!!! (Kristen Yurko/Oct 2011)
Sometimes you have to cry in order to be able to laugh again. (Canshare/Dec 2011)
Humor, positive thinking, laughter, and motivation to fight the enemy named cancer. These are essential in the war with cancer. Keep fighting strong cancer soldiers. Hoorah!! (Cancer Kids Army, Facebook page/ http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Cancer-Kids-Army/172366416137812 /Dec 2011)
Dreams, Hold fast to dreams, For if dreams die, Life is a broken-winged bird, That cannot fly……Hold fast to dreams, For when dreams go, Life is a barren field, Frozen with snow. (Langston Hughes/Submitted by Teroy/Feb 2012)
